No Cavities
Yesterday I had a dentist appointment for my 6 month teeth cleaning and check-up. All is good, even the nose hair.

The Only Good Poisonous Snake is a Dead Poisonous Snake
This evening I arrived home to find this dandy specimen next to the driveway. A quick trip in the house and I was armed with a camera and a shotgun.
This is as close as I could get as it was dark and I couldn't see the snake on the camera screen until the picture was actually taken. Below are postmortem, of course.

Anchor Driving Range
In the large metropolitan area called New Caney, TX, we visited the Anchor Driving Range. Below are some pictures of our hot, humid experience. Cool driving range though. Check out the flex on Grant's driver.

Chuy's
Earlier this evening we had supper at a restaurant called Chuy's. Grant was very interested in the ceiling. Trenton and I had grilled chicken salads, Grant had chicken nuggets, and Lisa had the appetizer sampler.
We had an excellent meal.
This is why Grant was so interested in the ceiling!

That's a Bunch of Bananas
I've never had this many bananas at one time. This is what happens when you help someone and you're willing to take a whole bunch of bananas off their hands as a reward. The chickens love 'em, but Lisa doesn't for some reason. Please note the piglets nursing in the background.

Cell Phone and the Zany Waitress
This past weekend Trenton, Lisa and I traveled to northeast Texas to visit family and friends. While at a graduation ceremony held at a church, I noticed the young man next to me had a cell phone exactly like mine. I asked him if he wanted to trade since his was in better condition. He smiled, nodded his head "No", but he did let me take a picture of it. Later that same evening I snapped this picture of a waitress in a restaurant in which we were eating. She was an interesting character.

Chicken Salad and Crackers
This stuff is awesome! 6 crackers and a can of chicken salad. If you buy the ones they sell at the dollar store called Brunswick, you will be disappointed. They're also made by Bumble Bee, but you only get 4 crackers and they leave something out of the chicken salad making it bland.

Mother's Day Lunch and A Strange Teen
Sunday after church we went to a mexican restaurant for lunch to celebrate Mother's Day. Friends of ours from church were there and invited us to dine with them. I took a picture of them, but the lighting behind them is so bright you cannot see their faces. I did get a picture of their son in front of the Dollar General. Speaking of Dollar General, I asked an English friend of mine if they have Dollar Generals in England. He said "Are you mad? They're called Pound Generals!"

Oleander and the Ultra Light Aircraft
While taking pictures of my yellow oleander, this ultra light aircraft flew overhead. My neighbor said, "Well there goes (can't remember his name) in his ultra light", just as if he was drving by in a car. Anyway, I bought this oleander at a locally owned nursery several days ago. The owner of the place drove me and a co-worker around in a golf cart, as we were looking to replace a tree that has died. I think the owner/driver was intoxicated and he liked to describe things with expletives. My aunt works at a botanical garden and I think he could make a positive impact on their publicity efforts. Enjoy!

The Newest Chicks in Town
Below are the 3 chicks we purchased at the flea market today. Earlier this week the rooster and the easter chicks (also roosters) moved where they can make as much noise as they want whenever they want. We bought these Ameraucana hens to replace them. If I understand correctly, they will lay smaller eggs, but the eggs will be blue in color. We are looking forward to watching them grow and become egg layers.
